NSBE May GBM Elections

May General Body Meeting/Elections

As we prepare for our May General Body Meeting, we will place our focus on Officer Elections. To those interested in standing for election to one of the elected roles on the Executive Board, we commend your initiative and commitment to further the mission of our chapter and the broader NSBE organization. Serving the membership in a board position will both challenge and broaden your horizons as a professional. Please ensure you fully understand the commitment ahead of you and seek advice in preparation for this leadership role, as you will be responsible for the development of current and future members in the Greater Philadelphia area. Interested individuals should send their declaration of interest via email to (omcclendon@nsbephilly.org) no later than May 11th, 5 PM EST. During the GBM meeting, we will allow each individual, a few minutes to share their platform with the chapter. As a note, you can nominate someone for a specific position as well by the due date.

This year, we will perform the election of our leaders in a virtual format using electronic ballots. If you have additional questions, please contact (omcclendon@nsbephilly.org) directly or the respective individual for the role that you are interested in.

Elected Roles for Consideration:

  1. President-Elect (2 Year Term; transitions to President in Year 2)

  2. Treasurer-Elect (2 Year Term; transitions to Treasurer in Year 2)

  3. Secretary

  4. Programs Chair

  5. Parliamentarian

Voting
As mentioned in the introduction above, voting will be conducted using an electronic ballot. As noted in our Chapter By-Laws, Article II, Section 2; in order to cast a vote, a member must be a member-in-good-standing. Members in good standing are those that have satisfied both their chapter and national financial obligations.

Thank you again for your interest and we look forward to connecting with everyone at the GBM on Thursday, May 12th at 6:30 PM.
